VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 25, 2015) - Webnames.ca is pleased to announce Cybele Negris, CEO and Co-Founder, has been named a Women's Executive Network (WXN) 2015 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner. As a fourth time winner of this award, Cybele is being inducted into the Top 100 Hall of Fame.

Launched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada's top female executive talent as well as their organizations and networks. In order to be part of the Hall of Fame, women must have won a Top 100 award four times and be selected for recognition of their extraordinary and noteworthy achievements. Cybele will be inducted into the Top 100 Hall of Fame and honoured during a gala celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on November 26, 2015.

Cybele Negris co-founded Webnames.ca in 2000 and since then has had a profound impact among female entrepreneurs and leaders in Canada.

As a proud supporter of women in leadership, Webnames.ca works to create the necessary conditions and opportunities for women to help them thrive and succeed in business.

Since 2000, Webnames.ca has been a proud supporter of women entrepreneurs and women in technology. Supporting a wide range of organizations and programs such as Women's Executive Network, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Wired Woman and many more, Cybele has taken an active role in mentoring and serving on boards of such organizations and guiding other female leaders in Canada.

"Each year I had been named to the WXN Top 100 list, I had been honoured and surprised at the same time. Now to be inducted to the Top 100 Hall of Fame leaves me tremendously humbled and grateful, especially for the great team at Webnames.ca that I have the privilege to lead. I see the other women before me who have been inducted to the Hall of Fame and to be amongst such quality and high-profile leaders is truly amazing" said Ms. Negris. "It is also an honour which I feel comes with great responsibility. That is why I have continued to be a mentor through WXN for many years and will do my best to be a good role model to my children and other young people. I would love to see more women leading and growing technology companies in Canada and globally."

The Top 100 Awards serve to recognize talented leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and to inspire the current and next generation to push the boundaries of what's possible.

"For these highly accomplished women, receiving a Top 100 Award means much more than recognition or a chance to share the spotlight with other remarkable Winners, it's an opportunity to pay it forward," says WXN founder, Pamela Jeffery. "WXN Top 100 Award Winners are powerful women both in their careers and their potential to transcend boundaries to have a greater impact on the communities around them."

Cybele Negris joins a prestigious community of past Award Winners, including Canada's most iconic women trailblazers: Margaret Atwood, best-selling author; Dr. Roberta Bondar, astronaut; Arlene Dickinson, chief executive officer, Venture Communications; Christine Magee, president, Sleep Country Canada; Michaëlle Jean, former Governor General of Canada; Heather Reisman, founder and chief executive officer, Indigo Books & Music; and, Kathleen Taylor, chair of the board, Royal Bank of Canada.
