The .porn domain extension was created with the intent of catering to the adult entertainment industry. By registering a .porn domain name with Webnames.ca, you will be effectively blocking your name from being registered by third-parties and therefore, protecting your brand from infringement.
Webnames.ca will only be accepting domain name registrations from businesses, individuals and brands outside of the adult entertainment industry who wish to protect their name. Nameserver management of is not permitted; .porn domain names registered with Webnames.ca do not resolve for web or email services.
Domain Matching Phase
Previous registrants of a .XXX domain name can register the corresponding .porn domain name. This phase is open from May 6, 2015 until May 31, 2015.
.porn gTLD Requirements
There are no restrictions to the .porn domain name. Any party that wishes to secure a .porn domain name may do so once the General Availability phase begins on June 4, 2015.
