Important Information for Trademark Holders
Sunrise B - Trademark Holders Outside the Adult Industry
This registration phase is now closed. Please visit our General Registration page to register your .XXX Domain Name.
The Sunrise B Registration Phase allows trademark owners to protect their trademarks by blocking their names from being registered. Successful Sunrise B applications will be removed from the pool of .XXX names available for registration and cannot be used as conventional website addresses; instead, they will resolve to a page that indicated the name is reserved from use through ICM’s rights protection program.
Opt-outs are expected to last ten years (the duration of ICM Registry’s present contract with the ICANN) and will be subject to a one time fee. The WHOIS record of blocked domains will show standard registry information.
Note: If the opt-out being sought corresponds to a domain name sought by a Sunrise A applicant, the Sunrise A applicant will be notified and will have an opportunity to withdraw the domain name application. The Sunrise B applicant will also be notified of the Sunrise A application, but if the Sunrise A applicant chooses to proceed with the registration, it will be unable to claim lack of notice of trademark rights in a subsequent .xxx domain name proceeding.
