  • Make additional or alternate domain name suggestions upon request
  • Recommend a course of action for potential acquisitions
  • Acquire domain assets, including portfolios of related domain names or websites

Domain Brokering in 4 Steps

Save valuable time, resources and potential costs by leveraging our expertise

We act as an intermediary between you and the domain owner and handle the research, appraisal and negotiation. If a sale agreement is reached, we also facilitate the transaction and transfer process on your behalf.

Consultation & Appraisal

You have determined the domain you want is registered to another party.

Complete Webnames.ca’s domain brokerage application with a Managed Services account manager.

Submit your request.

We will research the domain history, determine the feasibility of your request and undertake an appraisal.

Brokerage Agreement

Complete the Webnames.ca Domain Brokerage agreement.

The brokerage fees, conditions and process are clearly outlined and will be thoroughly explained prior to your signing. You will also be asked to specify the maximum price you are willing to spend on your domain investment.

After the agreement is in place we will attempt to contact the domain owner and initiate negotiation.

Negotiation Process

Your Webnames.ca domain broker will attempt to purchase the domain from its current owner.

We always negotiate for the lowest possible price up to your maximum limit.

If the owner is amenable to negotiation, we will continue the process for up to 60 days.

You will receive a detailed progress report every 2 weeks or more frequently depending on your needs.

Acquisition & Transfer

The domain owner has accepted your offer!

We will now complete the sales agreement, payment and transfer the domain name to your Webnames.ca account.
