Revocation

NOTE: SSL Certificate Revocation is a feature of our Advanced SSL Management Kit.

Revoke previously issued certificates which are unused or have had their private key compromised. Revoked instances of a certificate become void and can no longer be used.

  1. Log in to your Webnames.ca account.
  2. Navigate to My Account> Manage > SSL Certificates
  3. View the Issued certificates within your account , and click on the certificate name you wish to reissue
  4. Within the issued instance of the certificate you wish to revoke, click the Revoke button

Within the resulting window, enter a reason for the revocation request and click Revoke

The certificate revocation process is manually performed by Webnames staff. If you have questions about a revocation or its timing, please contact us.

NOTE: To replace a revoked certificate, proceed with Certificate Reissuance and choose to use a new CSR (which will be required since a new Private Key and subsequent CSR will need to be used)
