Revocation
NOTE: SSL Certificate Revocation is a feature of our Advanced SSL Management Kit. |
Revoke previously issued certificates which are unused or have had their private key compromised. Revoked instances of a certificate become void and can no longer be used.
- Log in to your Webnames.ca account.
- Navigate to My Account> Manage > SSL Certificates
- View the Issued certificates within your account , and click on the certificate name you wish to reissue
- Within the issued instance of the certificate you wish to revoke, click the Revoke button

Within the resulting window, enter a reason for the revocation request and click Revoke

The certificate revocation process is manually performed by Webnames staff. If you have questions about a revocation or its timing, please contact us.

NOTE: To replace a revoked certificate, proceed with Certificate Reissuance and choose to use a new CSR (which will be required since a new Private Key and subsequent CSR will need to be used) |
