Overview

Upon issuance, the SSL Certificate is sent to you by the Certificate Authority (GeoTrust, Digicert,Sectigo etc) via email and then needs to be installed on the web server hosting the domain that the Certificate applies to.

Issuance

At the conclusion of the applicable Validation process, the SSL Certificate will be provided by way of a Issuance email. The issued Certificate is sent via email to Contact specified in the Configuration process.

Aside from the SSL Certificate itself, the Issuance email contains installation instructions for the Certificate, any necessary Intermediate Certificates, as well as Site Seals for use on the associated website.

Once the certificate is issued and has been received, it needs to be installed on the intended web server.
