Adding Additional Disk Space
While many of our hosting plans do feature ‘As Much As You Need’ (AMAYN
As Much As You Need) diskspace, there is a request process for increasing the space initially allocated to your account. If you exceed your allocated diskspace your account access will be suspended. Suspension will not affect public access to your website, but will prevent further Control Panel and FTP File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer files from one host to another host over a TCP-based network, such as the Internet. access.
To request additional diskspace to your existing Hosting plan follow these steps in your Webnames.ca account:
- Navigate to My Account > Manage > Web Hosting
- Click on your domain name
- On the current Hosting tab, under the Actions section, click the Request button beside ‘Request Diskspace Increase’.
Your request will be reviewed by Webnames staff to ensure proper use of our hosting services. You will be contacted via email at the conclusion of this process.
Please note that you may request up to 5 GB of additional disk space per 30 days.
Our Value Hosting Plan does not include 'As Much As You Need' diskspace, but rather is limited to 5 GB of storage space. Customers of our Value Hosting Plan are invited to upgrade their hosting at any time in order to gain access to 'As Much As You Need' storage space.
