Activating Email Accounts

In cases where pre-existing email services (other than Webnames) exist, after purchasing Webnames email, the services must be activated. The steps below should also only be taken once each individual email address has been created.

To activate email accounts for your domain:

• Log into your Webnames.ca account
• Click on the My Account> Email Accounts menu
• Click the domain name for which you want to add/edit email accounts.
• On the current Email tab, click the Activate Email button

NOTE: If you do not see an Activate Email button, then your email services are already active. In our case, 'Activate' simply means to set an MX record for your domain and to point to our mail servers.
