Account Limit Warning
Email users will receive an Account Limit warning from within their mail client when they reach 95% of their email storage quota (e.g. 95% of Basic & Business: 1GB Professional: 2GB Professional Plus: 10GB Professional Premium: 20GB)
Quota Notice Message
Trigger: Mailbox at 95% of quota
Email Subject: Notice: Email account storage quota
Email Body: Your email account storage is 95% full. (^1 of ^0 ) An attempt to store your recent email of ^2 in size would bring your usage too close to your ^0 storage quota. Please consider archiving or deleting email from the mail server in order to free up space (including emptying Trash or Deleted Items), or upgrade your email account to a larger size. If your email storage reaches 100%, subsequent email messages will not be delivered to you. 2GB, 10GB and 20GB plans are available.
Quota Full Message
Trigger: Delivery of additional inbound mail message to user's mailbox would result in >100% of quota being used
Email Subject: Notice: Email account storage quota
Email Body: Your email account storage is now full. (^0 ). One or more email messages addressed to you have not been delivered, and returned to sender. Please consider archiving or deleting email from the mail server in order to free up space (including emptying Trash or Deleted Items), or upgrade your email account to a larger size. 2GB, 10GB and 20GB plans are available. Once storage space is available within your account, the normal delivery of future emails will resume.
Internal Note pertaining to the messages above:
- ^1 = storage usage
- ^0 = storage quota
- ^2 = the size of the message that would put the account over quota
The intended behavior of these messages is that the user is presented the warning once, which they acknowledge by clicking OK. In some instances the mail client is unable to properly acknowledge this message, resulting in the same warning being presented repeatedly.
In this scenario, the Account Limit warning can be acknowledged via the Pronto webmail interface.
Once acknowledged, the warning will not be presented again unless the 95% threshold is crossed (as opposed to exceeded) again at a later date.
NOTE: Email storage quotas are not reported in real-time, but rather are only calculated once overnight. |
