Registrar Transfer Timeline
The length of time required to transfer a domain varies. There are two separate parts to the process:
- The validation of the transfer request via the gaining Registrar contacting the domain Administrative Contact

The time required to complete the first part of the process is dependent upon the Administrative Contact's ability to receive and validate the transfer request (via email). If the Administrative Contact The person identified in the Registration Information as the Administrative Contact for the Registrant’s Domain Name Registration(s).

Note that .CA domains do not utilize a Pending Transfer period, meaning that as soon as a valid transfer request is submitted to the Registry, the transfer will complete immediately.
