Domain Transfers

Domain Transfers come in two variations:

  1. Change of Registrar (Registrar Transfer)
  2. Change Ownership (Registrant Transfer)

If you have domains at another Registrar and wish to move them to Webnames, then you will want to perform a Registrar Transfer. A change in ownership can also occur as part of this process. Registrar transfers result in one year being added to the domain registration, and thus a charge is incurred.

If your domains are already registered with us, but you wish to move them to a new owner, then you will want to perform a Registrant Transfer.

If you simply wish to move domains from one Webnames account to another, without changing ownership, please contacts us.
