Domain Name Renewal

Domain names represent your business identity, brands, trademarks, and products online. Don't lose your critical online identity - make sure your domains are renewed in a timely manner.

Your domain names may be renewed at any time. You do not have to wait until you receive your renewal notices to renew.

Webnames.ca customers can renew in the following ways:

  • Renew online by logging into your account
  • Renew by phone by calling our Customer Support representatives at 1-866-221-7878
  • Activate our secure and convenient Auto Renewal Service for key domains and never worry about expiry dates.

Webnames.ca goes the extra step by contacting you by email, mail and phone. This level of hands-on service is unparalleled in the domain industry. We will attempt to notify you in the following methods when your domain name(s) are coming up for renewal:

  • E-mail notice 8, 4 and 1 week before expiry (you can also customize the timing of these notices in your account)
  • Mail notice 2 weeks before expiry
  • Courtesy phone call within 1 week of expiry

Limit the number of renewal reminders you receive by renewing early, customizing the timing of your renewal notices, or choosing our Auto Renewal service. Save money and the hassle of renewing each year by renewing your domain name(s) for multiple years.

Redemption Period

Registrants that have accidentally allowed their .CA to expire have a 30 day grace period to renew their domain names. Simply log into your Webnames.ca account to renew yourself or call our Customer Support representatives at 1-866-221-7878.

Registrants that have accidentally let their .COM, .NET, .ORG, etc. expire may still be able to redeem the domain within 30 days of expiry.
