What is FastTrack?
FastTrack is a program specially designed to provide small businesses a professional looking website quickly and on a limited budget. One year of hosting and domain name registration as well as training to maintain the website are included in the program, so there are no additional costs to worry about.
We’ve worked very hard to streamline our process and have developed a collection of helpful reference material so we can focus our time on designing and creating a great website for you at an amazing price.
FastTrack uses a simple self-serve model and step by step guide that helps you to plan and prepare content which you submit to us through an online form.
Our designers and developers create your website from the material and direction you provide using high quality commercial themes (templates) as a starting point. You can review the site and make minor changes before it goes live.
In your one hour training session, you learn how to maintain and develop the website yourself, so that it can grow with your business for years to come. We also provide a range of flexible WordPress Support Plans so you’ll always have someone to turn to if you ever need some extra help.
Who is it for?
FastTrack is ideal for small businesses, self employed professionals, consultants, organizations, not-for-profits and artists that need a great looking website to present themselves and their services professionally on the internet.
FastTrack websites are built using WordPress so they are ideal for business minded people who don’t have easy access to technical resources but who want the ability to easily update and continue to grow their websites.
Are there any Limitations?
We’ve managed to pack a lot of value into FastTrack, but in order to keep the price so low, we do work within certain constraints.
- FastTrack is not a consultative model. Instead we provide a self-directed step by step guide to help you plan, prepare and submit your website content. If you prefer to work with a website consultant our Essentials program might be a better choice for you.
- We use top quality commercial themes which we customize with your graphics and colour preferences. There may be some similarities between the websites we create, although it’s highly unlikely your customers or competitors would notice. Have a look at our Showcase page to see examples of our FastTrack websites to get a better sense of the similarities and differences. There are limitations to what can be customized inexpensively within a theme so if you have a strong idea of a particular look or would prefer a custom website, please consider the Essentials program.
- The FastTrack program covers the fundamental needs of most small businesses. If you have specific requirements or functionality needs, we may be able to accommodate them with our inexpensive Fast Track Add-Ons or some additional design or development time. - FastTrack is limited to a 6 page website in the first instance. Each page can have up to 500 words and 2 pictures per page. We can add additional pages from $30, but because we teach you to maintain and develop your site, most customers prefer to start with a basic FastTrack website and add additional content themselves.
The most successful websites are those that are continually improving. A dynamic site allows you to respond to customer suggestions, performs better in search engines and gives visitors a reason to come back. FastTrack delivers a complete website, but most importantly, it is a point from which your online presence can continue to grow with your business.
How does it work?
FastTrack follows a simple 5 step process to deliver your new website. Complete details of each step are provided on the Getting Started page, but in summary the steps are:
- Planning: Use the FastTrack Guide and supplementary resource documents to plan your website and prepare your website content
- Submission & Payment: Complete and submit the online FastTrack Form at www.fasttrackform.com. Once submitted, you will be contacted for payment
- Production: Our designers and developers create your website using the information you provided through the FastTrack Form
- Review: Review the completed website and if necessary, request minor changes using the FastTrack Change Request form
- Tutorial: Schedule your FastTrack tutorial with one of our trainers to learn how to manage and maintain your website
