Candidate Summary
You take extreme pride and care in the work you produce. You must be able to work independently and contribute intelligently to the projects you are involved in. Your responsibilities will span the entire Web development lifecycle including information gathering, defining requirements, architecting solutions, programming, unit testing, QA, deployment, support, and maintenance.
Organizational Status
Reports to Director of Software Development and Management Team
Term, Hours and Remuneration:
Position is full-time starting as soon as possible. Hours to be determined by management but the eight-hour work day will fall between 7am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays.
Excellent benefits package after a three-month probationary period. Salary commensurate with experience.
Solid demonstrable knowledge in the following technologies is required:
- ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, LINQ, SQL (MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008) including XML data types, IIS, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and Java.
- Experience with dynamic, database driven websites and an understanding of what technology packages exist in the realms of e-commerce, content management and database integration.
- Effective ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
- Completed post-secondary education in a computer science.
- Possess critical thinking, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member.
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A strong work ethic, a professional attitude, and a desire to excel in their chosen field.
Experience with the following is a definite asset:
- Experience with PHP and CMS Sites like Wordpress
- Experience with mobile platforms
